The Congregation of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary has several official patron saints, whom we are invited to invoke and imitate in a special way, and pray for the Marian Fathers and their mission. Among the patrons is St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274).

Saint Thomas Aquinas (c.1226-1274), Doctor of the Church and patron of Catholic universities, colleges, and schools, was one of the most extraordinarily rigorous, clear, and generous thinkers in the history of the Church. He is the model Catholic scholar, as well as a mystic and author of the poetry that forms the basis for the classic hymns of the Feast of Corpus Christi. Feast day: Jan. 28.
