Patron Saint of the Marians: St. Joan de Valois Prayer Card

Saint Joan of France,
patroness of the Marian Fathers
of the Immaculate Conception,
please hear my prayer.
Help the Marian Fathers live their
charism as true “apostles of Divine Mercy”
under the maternal and loving guidance
of Our Lady, the Immaculate Conception.
May they also continue to assist the
Holy Souls in Purgatory
and serve Christ and His Church
faithfully and fervently in the spirit of their
Founder, St. Stanislaus Papczynski. Amen.

Saint Joan de Valois of France (1464-1505), patroness of difficult circumstances, was married at age 12 to the Duke of Orleans. During their 22 years of marriage, she experienced loneliness and humiliation. After receiving an annulment, Joan founded the Order of the Annunciades, whose rule of the Ten Evangelical Virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary would be adopted by the Marian Fathers. Feast day: Feb. 4
